The New York Yankees after a 10-6 win on Friday night against the Cleveland Indians did have some casualties, as catcher Brian McCann took a foul ball of the mask, and on Saturday after seeing a neurologist was place on the seven-day concussion DL.

On Friday after being hit in the third inning with the foul ball, McCann was pulled in the sixth inning for Francisco Cervelli. Girardi said, "He thought his jaw got jammed. Then talking to him later when he came in in the sixth, he felt he was a little foggy."

Austin Romine will be called up to take McCann’s roster spot, but it will be Cervelli seeing a majority of the playing time until McCann is able to come back. It has certainly been a frustrating season for McCann, and now a trip to the DL won’t help him as he tries to have a productive second half.
